№ 10/10
The last razor.
A planned series of sessions that ends the daily negotiation with a razor.

What It Is
Laser hair removal directs light energy at the pigment in the hair follicle, disabling its ability to regrow. Because follicles cycle through growth phases, the treatment is a series — typically six to eight sessions, four to six weeks apart. The result is a significant, lasting reduction in hair, fewer ingrown hairs and razor burn, and the end of shaving as a recurring obligation.
What It Addresses
- Unwanted facial and neck hair
- Underarms
- Bikini line
- Legs and arms
- Ingrown hairs and razor burn
- The recurring cost and chore of shaving and waxing
How Anastasia Approaches It
Laser hair removal is the least glamorous thing I offer and one of the most quietly life-improving. My work here is calibration: matching the laser’s settings to your skin tone and your hair so that every session counts — and being straight with you that the laser targets pigment, which means white, gray, and very light blonde hair will not respond.
The series exists because follicles take turns growing; six to eight sessions, four to six weeks apart, catches each cycle in its treatable phase. I will also tell you plainly that permanent means significant lasting reduction — most people are done with razors, and some choose an occasional maintenance session. You will know exactly which outcome to expect before we begin.
The Appointment
- I
Consultation
Hair and skin are assessed together, and the series is explained honestly: follicles cycle, so sessions are spaced four to six weeks apart to catch each one.
- II
Mapping
Treatment areas are defined and the laser is calibrated to your skin tone and hair — with a test pass where it is warranted.
- III
Treatment
Brief pulses move across the area; even larger zones like legs go quickly. Most people describe the snap of a rubber band, and numbing is available for sensitive areas.
- IV
Aftercare
No downtime. Sun protection on treated areas, shaving between sessions is fine — waxing is not, since the follicle must be present to be treated.
Honest Limits
What this will not do
- Remove white, gray, or very light blonde hair. The laser targets pigment; without it, there is nothing to treat.
- Finish in one session. Follicles take turns growing — the series exists to catch every cycle.
- Promise absolute permanence. Expect significant lasting reduction; some people choose occasional maintenance.
When Anastasia will decline
- If the area is tanned or sunburned — we reschedule rather than risk the skin.
- If you have waxed or plucked recently; the follicle must be present for the laser to reach it.
What she may suggest instead
Aftercare
Do
- Shave the area before each session — never wax
- Use sunscreen on treated areas that see the sun
- Keep the four-to-six-week spacing so each growth cycle is caught
- Moisturize if the skin feels warm or dry afterward
Avoid
- Wax, pluck, or epilate between sessions — the follicle must be present to be treated
- Tan the treatment area before or after sessions
- Use harsh scrubs or acids on the area for a few days
- Expect permanence from a half-finished series
