Plate 06 · Skin Rejuvenation
№ 06/10
Resurfacing, measured in microns.
Controlled laser resurfacing at exactly the depth your skin requires — no more, and no less.

What It Is
CO2 laser resurfacing removes damaged surface skin with controlled precision, prompting new skin to heal in its place. At Anastology it is offered at two depths: Cool Peel, a gentle pass that renews the surface with one to two days of downtime, and Deka Mode, a deeper treatment for significant texture, scarring, and lines that asks for five to seven days of honest recovery. Visible change arrives after a single treatment; deeper concerns may call for a series of three to four.
What It Addresses
- Rough or uneven texture
- Fine lines, including around the eyes and mouth
- Acne scarring
- Sun damage and dullness
- Uneven tone
- Lines present at rest, beyond a neuromodulator’s reach
- Overall surface quality
How Anastasia Approaches It
The most important CO2 decision happens before the laser is switched on: depth. Cool Peel gives real surface renewal on a weekend’s downtime; Deka Mode goes after scarring and etched lines but asks for most of a week. I choose based on your skin and your calendar — never on which setting bills higher.
Resurfacing is where I am most conservative about candidacy. If you cannot protect your skin from the sun while it heals, or your travel schedule fights the recovery, I will tell you to wait. Skin renewed in microns deserves to heal properly, and I would rather delay a treatment than compromise one.
The Appointment
- I
Consultation
The depth conversation: Cool Peel or Deka Mode, chosen by your skin and your calendar — not by the larger ticket.
- II
Mapping
The treatment area and laser settings are planned precisely, then topical numbing is applied and given real time to take hold.
- III
Treatment
The laser resurfaces in controlled, even passes. Cool Peel sessions are brief; Deka Mode is more thorough and treated with the seriousness it deserves.
- IV
Aftercare
Cool Peel: a day or two of redness. Deka Mode: five to seven days of real recovery, with written day-by-day instructions and strict sun protection after.
Honest Limits
What this will not do
- Erase deep, tethered scarring in a single pass — significant scars are a campaign, not an afternoon.
- Tighten truly lax skin. Resurfacing renews the surface; it does not lift what gravity has moved.
- Fit into a week you cannot spare. Deka Mode asks for real recovery, and I will not pretend otherwise.
When Anastasia will decline
- If you are tanned, or the month ahead includes sun you cannot avoid.
- If there is active acne or infection in the treatment area.
- If your medical history makes aggressive resurfacing unwise — reviewed honestly in consultation.
Aftercare
Do
- Follow the written recovery plan for your depth — Cool Peel and Deka Mode heal differently
- Keep the skin moist with the recommended ointment or moisturizer
- Sleep slightly elevated the first night if swelling appears
- Commit to strict sun protection for weeks after resurfacing
Avoid
- Pick or peel flaking skin — it lifts on its own schedule
- Wear makeup until the surface has fully closed
- Use actives — retinoids, acids, vitamin C — until cleared to resume
- Take direct sun on healing skin
